Generally that's just as aesthetically pleasing as the upside down side mount is, only with 0 of the issues. Fractal Design gets a pass, They opted to use top mounted AIO's in all the pictures i seen.Meaning that A) I remember the problem being far worse than it actually was, B) they have grown tired of having 1000's of AIO's sent back under warranty for replacement because everyone was copying the builds C) They are drawing heat from Tech influencers.

In fairness though, Of the 5 common names I checked for examples, 3 of them passed my super low effort inspections lol. I suspect having some of the bigger tech channels calling out this behavior may have led to them phasing out the practice. Corsair doesn't seem to know what it wants to do, I found both an example of incorrectly mounted and correctly mounted vertical AIO's, on the exact same page for a case lol.NZXT has examples all over the website.I also got to learn what a computer behaves like if it has been overheated it's entire life that go-around. I figured "get as much cool in there as possible" and I was done. My first go around I got the fans, figured I needed them since everyone else was doing it by then, but just had everything trying to draw air into the case.

Let's just say it took me far too long to realize I needed to be planning my airflow to go in one side and the other. I had cut my teeth on a CPU fan, power-supply fan built in, and if there was another fan in the case it was some piece of crap that was more of a novelty. Well, I missed the memo back in the day when case fans started becoming necessary to keep everything in the case cool. I've built PCs for a long time, but not regularly enough to keep up with the smooth transition of tech, so every several years when I am upgrading I have to figure out what the new tech is and spend a month catching back up.
